This is taken from a poem written by my Brother Micheal. He was bemoaning the passing of the borough of Elawick in Newcastle-upon-Tyne where he grew up. Also his fears for Benwell the niegbouring borough which unfortunately went the same way. Back to back terraced houses where the community looked after it's own, to impersonal tower blocks that destroyed the community spirit and led to people being isolated and alone.
